Preliminary Program

Post-Conference Roundabout Workshop

Thursday, October 20

1:00-5:00 pm (Chancellor Ballroom)

$50.00 per person (includes lunch and beverages)

The workshop will feature perspectives from federal, state, and local officials, roundabout design experts and transportation professionals on how to make roundabouts a bigger part of our transportation system.  Modern, well-designed traffic roundabouts have proven to improve safety for vehicles and pedestrians, increase traffic flow capacity, reduce speed, and benefit the environment. The State of Illinois is now well-positioned to deploy roundabouts at a much greater pace, taking advantage of the experience and institutional knowledge of our neighboring states.

The workshop is specifically tailored to educate local, county, and state agency personnel and those in the private sector on how to successfully promote, fund, design, implement and operate roundabouts. We hope you will participate in this workshop, and we encourage you to get your registration in early.  There are a limited number of complimentary registrations for public agencies that cannot afford the registration fee.
